Spooky Fashion: Part 1
Spooky Fashion in College: Part 1
If you're like me (or more likely, like you!) then you probably don't care much for the fickle and frivolous trends that often sweep college campuses. Or so I hear. Most likely, you have your own style and you're own fabulous wardrobe to pick and choose from.
What do spooky and beautiful girls like us pack for college concerning clothing?
Depending on the climate in your area, you may be able to pack up all your favorite sweaters, dresses, tights, boots, and ruffly scarves. Most of us though are heading off to school in summer weather. So read on to find out what kind of clothing you should pack to get you through that first month or two.
To start with, you want to pack your summer basics. Tank tops, t-shirts, shorts, skirts, light-weight dresses, etc. These things can easily be worn on their own (if you refer to this post ) and then move into Fall and Winter with added sweaters, pants, and more.
As you can see here, I've got some basic black tank tops, a red one with a funny phrase on it, a pretty and lightweight top with leopard print and flowers. Tops that are cool and fabrics that breathe well.
For bottoms, I'm packing up my shorts, denim skirt, bloomers, and mini skirts.
Granted, this is only a small fraction of the clothing I'm packing up, but I hope this gives you some ideas.
Also pack up your favorite items for cooler weather as summer begins to ease into fall. Sheer tops, ruffly blouses, long and romantic skirts, tights, boots, hats, etc. are all good things to keep on hand for a cooler day.
To dress up your basic summer outfits, make sure to take some of your favorite statement jewelry with. For example, I have a pewter pentacle and a Gothic cross I wear all the time. I also wear a lot of bracelets and cool earrings. Make sure you've got some fun stuff to dress up your basic, but spooky, clothing!
Recap:
1. Pack your summer basics.
2. Mix and match items and wear them well into Fall and Winter.
3. Stay true to your style, but also stay comfortable!
