10 Youtube Channels to Subscribe to Right Now

~It's official - I've run out of things to watch on Netflix.

And if you're anything like me, you're so over Tiger King and Disney+ just isn't releasing the second season of The Mandalorian fast enough. Thankfully, there is always a plethora of new content on Youtube to keep us entertained. So without further adieu:

10 Youtube Channels to Subscribe to Right Now

Come for the glam (and jokes about gingers and invisible eyebrows) but stay for the gore. Glam&Gore is the perfect channel if you want to mindlessly binge full transformation videos - think kid's birthday party appropriate Disney Princesses → what would really happen if Cinderella took a tumble down the stairs. Glass is sharp, after all.

Mykie is hilariously funny and provides a lot of fun tips and tricks on getting your latex wounds or foam prosthetics to play nice. You'll learn more than you ever wanted about the merits of scab blood and why scar wax is the devil.

Two cool facts about Anthony Padilla: 1) He's dating Mykie from Glam&Gore and 2) He's a former member of the long-running channel Smosh.

Anthony's solo channel is both insightful and a lot of fun, he regularly spends a day with members or adherents of a particular group, denomination, or marginalized community to lend a spotlight to their struggles, lifestyles, or beliefs. I'd recommend his videos "I Spent a Day with GOTHS" and "I Spent a Day with AUTISTIC PEOPLE."

OK....Let's talk about Swoop. Also known as Spankie Valentine. Also known as one of the best filmmakers on Youtube. No joke, her sense of comedic timing, her directing, her presence on screen, and the way her infectious and wonderful personality just shines through is amazing.

She's won awards for several short films, many of which highlight her struggle with depression and anxiety. But her channel is the furthest thing from being depressing - some of her most viewed videos of all time are the silly escapades where she and her friend Dirt visit the worst rated salon or spa in her city.

Hilarity always ensues. Give SWOOP a try, I promise you won't regret it.

Oh, Safiya - the queen of making truly bizarre and ugly fashion items somehow...fashion? A former creator as Buzzfeed, these days, she has a lot more fun on her own channel making "Franken-versions" of her favorite things. Mixing all her eye shadows together? Check. Creating the penultimate purple lipstick by mixing all her lip stuff together? Check. Combining every single candle from Bath and Body Works for the craziest scented wax monster? Also check.

Her newest video, I Tried Following A Soap Cupcake Tutorial, was a riot. I never wanted to make my own soaps before watching Safiya try it.

If that makes no sense to you, it's because you're not in on the joke and there are plenty of oddball sayings and gags in Taylor Reilly's videos. A lot of her videos are her trying (and quite often failing) to do lots of adult things - from making a cocktail to dying her hair purple.

Taylor also films a lot of vlogs detailing her life with dwarfism and what challenges she faces because of that, but most of those also tend to be interrupted and commandeered by her sassy cat, Uma.

You've already subscribed to Bon Appétit and selected your favorite personality from the Test Kitchen, but you're missing out if you haven't given Binging with Babish a fair shake. From this unique counter-level perspective, watch the iconic dishes from both film and video games come to life with Andrew's elevated and gourmet take.

Basics with Babish, a separate segment, will show the ropes on a lot of kitchen techniques - from making a homemade pie dough to crafting your own salsa. Witty commentary included.

Another crew that escaped the clutches of Buzzfeed, The Try Guys are Keith, Ned, Zach, and Eugene who...well...try stuff in their videos. Keith has a big mouth and really enjoys fried chicken, Ned has a cute baby he won't shut up about and sounds just like Squidward, Zach is the goofiest of the bunch (and also has the hottest girlfriend), while Eugene...is just good at everything. No, seriously. He's good at everything.

While they film a lot of group adventures, there are plenty of solo vlogs from each of the guys expressing their own unique film-making abilities and personalities. Keith Eats The Menu. Eugene is The Rank King, etc.

Eugene is totally your favorite Try Guy, right? Mine too.

The Queen of Holo, Cristine (no H please) got her start on Instagram posting short nail art videos and due to viewer demand eventually migrated to Youtube to film longer and more in-depth tutorials for nail polish. Whether it was divine providence or a cruel accident, Cristine broke one of her long nails and while waiting for it to fully heal up, she began doing whatever she wanted on her channel. And we actually got to see her face!

She's never looked back and we couldn't be happier to watch her give her drink slave... I mean boyfriend, Ben, drag makeup or make her patented overnight oats. Regular appearances by cats Menchie and Zyler make each video a joy to behold.

Also, Cristine has own nail polish line, Holo Taco, and it's awesome!

Imagine for a moment that you're sitting on your front porch at night. All you hear are the croaking of frogs and the gentle chirp of crickets. A gust of wind whispers through the trees above and in the distance you spot the glowing eyes of a slowly approaching forest spirit.

Miracle Forest produces beautifully ambient soundscapes for study, sleep, ASMR, etc. My personal favorites include a the soft bustling hum of a fantasy marketplace and the almost spook atmosphere of an abandoned underwater temple.

While these videos are meant to be played in the background, they also feature gorgeous settings with clever animations. Watch long enough and you'll spot something interesting, for sure!

ReacThing is Yumi and Zoey, two Korean women in their thirties who react to things, primarily bizarre things from the states....like 90 Day Fiance, TikTok, Donald Trump and pop stars. But the real sweetheart of this channel is Grandma OK - from time to time she joins her granddaughter Zoey to sample different foods from around the world. So far she's a huge fan of Hot Cheetos and American soul food.

Grandma OK is precious and must be protected at all costs. If you subscribe to this channel, you'll understand why!
